Whether you're here to make a quick trip, or you have time to stroll, Downtown Waukesha offers plenty of convenient parking! Free parking is available on the streets and in numerous public parking lots or park in the municipal ramp for a very modest fee.

From the West (I-94)

1. Take I-94 to Hwy F South (Waukesha/Sussex), Exit 295

2. Continue South on Hwy F/North St. for 2.6 miles to Barstow St.

3. Turn left on Barstow St to enter the Downtown Business District

From the East (I-94)

1. Take  I-94 to Exit 297 to merge onto E. Moreland Blvd/US-18 W/WI-164 S, Continue 1.7 miles

2. Turn left on E. Main St/ County Road Y

3. Continue 2.4 miles to enter the Downtown Business District

From the South (I-43)

1. Take I-43 to Hwy 164 N (Exit 50)

2. Continue North 7.2 miles (Hwy 164 becomes East Ave).

3. Turn Left at Main St. to enter the Downtown Business District

Parking

Downtown Waukesha offers free two-hour on-street parking. Eight municipal parking lots also offer free parking. Downtown Waukesha also has two municipal parking ramps, one of which is attached to the newly built transit center. Combined, the ramps offer approximately 1,000 parking spaces.

The BID encourages designating short-term parking spots for customers and patrons visiting our historic downtown. It is expected that business owners and their employees utilize the parking ramps or the municipal lots.
