Comedy

Daughter Betty is excited about her first date with a new boy. Son Bud has basketball practice. Daughter Kathy wants to spend the night at a friend’s house. Mother has a community meeting. But after reading a story of a young couple eloping and worried about an important business meeting, Father puts his foot down. The family is having a nice night at home – together!
So the town’s social scene comes to them instead!
As the excitement and complications grow, Father comes to realize that while he knows best, the young people may know a thing or two, too. Based on the radio program by Edward James, Father Knows Best is a wholesome family comedy.
