On January 21, at 6:30 PM, join Waukesha Public Library and Waukesha Civic Theatre for a celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a screening of the documentary The Blood is at the Doorstep. After Dontre Hamilton, an unarmed black man, was shot 14 times and killed by police in Milwaukee, his family embarks on a quest for answers, justice, and reform.
A discussion will follow the documentary, led by the film’s director Erik Ljung, family member Nate Hamilton, and activist Reggie Jackson.
Pick up your FREE tickets at the Waukesha Civic Theatre box office or at waukeshacivictheatre.org. This event is located at the Waukesha Civic Theatre and is open to teens and adults.
