The Underpants

Theo Maske opens with a complaint: his wife, Louise, has allowed her underpants to fall to the ground while attending a parade for the king. This rollicking sociopolitical farce, adapted by Steve Martin, is set in Germany, 1910. As events unfold, Theo worries about scandal and repercussions at his job as a government clerk.
