From a young age, Sammy soon picked up the guitar and began playing, starting with her young musical idol, Taylor Swift. One of Sammy Jo’s first songs ever performed in public was the T. Swift smash hit “Teardrops on My Guitar.” Taylor’s incredible songwriting and storytelling abilities quickly captivated her. After years of performing her favorite songs in coffeehouses, weddings, and special events, she advanced her talent as the lead vocalist for the professional country band Summer Son.
