Downtown Waukesha wouldn’t be, well, Downtown Waukesha if not for the community’s love affair with art. It’s a place where all art is celebrated and appreciated, from wall art to sculptures, to music and performance.
And then there’s an alternative art form that’s not so alternative anymore: skin art, or as most people know them, tattoos.
Downtown Waukesha is home to a handful of award-winning tattoo studios, one of them being the Waukesha Tattoo Company, owned by George Wang. He employs a fleet of talented artists––himself among them––and collectively, the upscale tattoo studio has a diverse portfolio of portrait work, nature, typography, conceptual, and more.
Having been open since 2010, the Waukesha Tattoo Company, located in Downtown Waukesha’s beautiful West End, is more than a tattoo shop. The business doubles as a galleria and hosts no less than six gallery shows annually. Wang further supports local artists by featuring masterpieces from a new artist every couple of months.
