FAQs
What is a Wine/Beer Walk?
A wine/beer walk is a unique event that aims to expose local independent businesses to participants by offering small samplings of wine or beer at each location. The general idea is that participants take their time to browse, do some shopping, grab a bite to eat, or learn about services offered while enjoying samples of wine or beer.
You must consume your wine sample inside the business where you receive the beer or wine sample. You cannot take beer or wine onto the public sidewalks or streets.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
All attendees must be 21 years of age by the date of the event. IDs will be checked at registration.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes, you may transfer your ticket, but all attendees must be at least 21.
What are my transportation and parking options?
If you don’t have a designated driver, Downtown Waukesha is served by both Lyft and Uber as well as Best Cab Company (call 262-549-6622 for a cab). Waukesha Metro Transit also has several bus routes and has service until 9:15 on Saturday evenings. Click here for route and schedule information.
There is also plenty of free on-street and surface lot parking downtown. The South Street parking ramp offers free 2-hour parking with a small fee of $3 to park for the rest of the day! Click here for a downloadable pdf map.
